Great amenities and utensils in the cottage. Comfy sofa for relaxing.

Struggled to heat the cottage despite lighting a fire. Not enough hot water for two baths.

We had a wonderful time at the cozy Hideaway Cottage, perfect for exploring the charming villages and beautiful countryside. The location was great, with a scenic river walk nearby and a short drive to Whitby. The ease of key collection was a plus. The comfortable bed and openable bedroom windows made for a restful stay. The cottage had a homely feel, with thoughtful notes to help us settle in. We enjoyed the front and back outdoor areas, and the company of the local wild birds. a delightful and relaxing retreat.

    Would recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved the peaceful and quiet location of the cottage, perfect for walkers like us. The short drive to the coast was a fantastic bonus. The well-equipped cottage with lovely furnishings made for a cosy and beautiful stay. We were also impressed with the focus on hygiene measures, ensuring a clean and safe environment. Having a shop and a pub within 15 minutes walking distance was very convenient for us.

We felt very at home in the cottage and had no complaints.

Convenient location for Goathland and Whitby. Steam train to Whitby and fish & chips on a boat nearby. Exceptionally clean house with a comfortable bed. Helpful notices throughout the cottage. Peaceful and cosy, tucked away in a beautiful location.

The location of this cottage is perfect for those wanting a peaceful getaway. Situated in a beautiful area, it offers scenic views and a tranquil atmosphere. the cottage itself is cosy and well-furnished, providing a comfortable stay. the nearby attractions, such as Whitby and Scarborough, are easily accessible by a short drive, allowing for convenient exploring.

The cleanliness of the cottage leaves much to be desired. the lack of attention to detail in the cleaning process is evident, which may affect the overall experience for some guests.

the cottage was well, equipped and spotlessly clean, with all the necessary utilities and utensils. the sofa was really comfortable, and I was lucky to get a great deal due to a last, minute cancellation. the best part was its convenient location, just a short drive away from the beautiful coastline.

There was also a shop and a pub within a 15, minute walk, although going back to the cottage would require a bit more effort due to the uphill walk. Cons: Nothing not to like!

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Hideaway Cottage. The decor inside was charming and the location was ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. The cottage had plenty of hot water and allowed dogs, which was a bonus. We enjoyed the easy access to the coast and nearby amenities, as well as the peaceful walks by the river. The storage heaters and towel rail kept us warm, and the fire logs made the cottage cozy. a snug and comfortable getaway for a couple with a dog.

    Can recommend this hotel.

What a perfect place to unwind and explore! Stayed at the Hideaway Cottage for a week with our two dogs and it was everything we could have hoped for. The cottage itself was beautifully presented, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the little extra touches like helpful notes around the house and the comfortable bed. There were plenty of peaceful walks nearby and it was just a short drive to the charming town of Whitby. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway with furry friends.

    Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I had an idyllic stay at a beautiful cottage just outside of Whitby. The location was perfect for long walks with my two lovely cockapoos, Daisy and Archie. The cottage itself was amazing, beautifully presented, and had everything I could ever need and more. It was compact yet thoughtfully designed, making it a cozy and inviting place to stay. The extra touches added to the overall charm of the cottage. During my trip, I also visited Filey, Bridlington, and Scarborough, all places I had always wanted to see. You won't be disappointed.

Although I loved the cottage, there were a few issues that let it down. I felt that there should have been firewood provided because the storage heater kept the cottage too cold.

The furnishings were lovely and it was well-equipped for our self-catering stay. The location was peaceful and only a short drive away from nearby attractions. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as parking on the street and some damp in the bedroom chimney, we had a comfortable and enjoyable time. I would highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely and clean cottage, beautifully decorated for our stay. The cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the little notes around the place, which helped us settle in quickly. The location was perfect for relaxation and easy access to local amenities. The storage heaters provided adequate warmth, and the towel rail heated up the bathroom nicely. Plenty of hot water for showers and baths. Dogs were allowed, which was a bonus for us.

The kitchen was a bit cold, and our dogs, who usually sleep in the kitchen, were not happy. We had to move them to the living room next to the storage heater, and they refused to budge.
